Card Conditions Explained - NM, LP, MP and HP

Why Card Condition Matters

Condition is the single most important factor in a card's value. The same Charizard can be worth $50 in Heavily Played or $500 in Near Mint. We grade every card honestly.

Near Mint (NM)

No or minimal signs of handling. Sharp edges, crisp corners, clean surface, well-centered. What you would expect pulling fresh from a pack.

Lightly Played (LP)

Minor edge or corner wear. Possible very light surface scuff. No major scratches, creases or bends. Still excellent in a sleeve and great value vs NM.

Moderately Played (MP)

Noticeable edge and corner wear. Light scratching. Possible light crease. Fully playable but not suitable for grading submission.

Heavily Played (HP)

Significant wear clearly visible. Heavy edge and corner damage, scratching, possible creases. Valued primarily for playability.

Our Policy

We grade conservatively. Borderline cards get the lower grade. Contact us within 7 days if you feel a card was misgraded. We stand behind our grading.
